You will have a hands-on experience in making fast compost in 18 days and slow compost over 6 weeks, and making compost tea and biological fertilizer from cheap readily available materials.
You will be see demonstrations of specific mulch and compost crops that are mixtures of plant shrubs and trees that can be propagated and grown for use in creating natural fertilizer and soil fertility.
You will learn about how to grow, manage and apply beneficial soil microbes on the your land. The mineralization of animal feed to increase manure quality, compost worm farms and black soldier fly larvae farms will all be demonstrated and taught. You will be able to manage your soil so that year by year you can increase your topsoil quality and improve production.
You will learn soil analysis of pH, structure, basic microscope work so you can make the adjustments that your soil will require to increase fertility.
